Pure Mathematics for Theoretical Computer Science
Pure Mathematics for Theoretical Computer Science (PMTCS) is an international, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing research at the intersection of pure mathematics, computational mathematics, and theoretical computer science. The journal provides a scholarly platform for publishing original research articles and review papers that develop rigorous mathematical theories, structures, models, and methods with relevance to computation, algorithms, information processing, and intelligent systems.
PMTCS welcomes contributions across algebra, topology, analysis, geometry, graph theory, probability, mathematical statistics, optimization, numerical mathematics, uncertainty theories, and discrete mathematics. Particular emphasis is placed on research that establishes new mathematical concepts, proves significant theoretical results, develops computationally meaningful models, or provides mathematically rigorous foundations for algorithms and computer science applications.
The journal also considers interdisciplinary studies in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analysis, network science, decision-making, cryptography, and scientific computing when they contain a substantial and clearly demonstrated mathematical contribution. Application-oriented manuscripts should present mathematical novelty, theoretical analysis, new computational methodology, or rigorous validation extending beyond the routine use of existing algorithms or software.
All submissions undergo initial editorial screening followed by a rigorous peer-review process conducted by independent experts. Further details are available in the Peer Review Process.
Authors may submit manuscripts prepared in any standard academic format. Detailed preparation instructions are provided in the Author Guidelines.
PMTCS is committed to maintaining high standards of publication ethics, research integrity, and transparency. Authors must ensure compliance with the publisher’s policies as outlined in the Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement.
Submission of a manuscript implies agreement with the publisher’s copyright and licensing terms as described in the Copyright and Licensing Policy.
