A Decentralized and Cooperative Methodology For Organ Donation Management Based on Ethereum Blockchain

P. Sheela Rani , Harini M. , Nandhitha N. , Teena A. Naahz G.

The digital world is a vast and ever- evolving ecosystem that encompasses a wide range of technologies, applications, and platforms. Blockchain has played a significant role in bringing the healthcare business forward. Blockchain may significantly enhance the traceability, efficiency, and safety of confidential data such as organ donation and transplantation, as well as the administration of electronic health data. This paper presents a secure and efficient web application for organ donation that uses private Ethereum blockchain technology to create a proof of authority (PoA) model for this consortium and also to automate a number of processes, including matching donors and recipients. The fairness of all the entities—patient, donor, hospital, or insurance company—involved in the system is guaranteed without the involvement of a third party. The security and privacy of the patient’s details are protected. The logic of the application is implemented using smart contracts and deployed in Ganache. It depicts various interactions and transactions among the participants, thus helping to automate these processes, promote transparency, improve efficiency, and minimise service time.

India is still facing the aftermath of the second wave of covid 19. However, in between the first wave and second wave India witnessed long and tortuous assembly elections in four states of Southern India. This paper explores the coverage of covid 19 and assembly elections in the states of Kerala and Tamil Nadu in two of the most circulated newspapers Malayala Manorama and Mathrubhumi from Kerala and Dinamalar and Dinathanthi from Tamil Nadu. E-papers from February 26, 2021- April 6, 2021, are collected for analysis. 7466 news articles are analyzed to find out the coverage of Covid 19 and assembly elections. The study questions the social responsibility of media platforms that set the media agenda in favor of assembly elections and hence averting the covid 19 news.

S. Vimala , Vibu Krishnan S. , Mathan Raj Kumar , Ashok Kumar , M. Janakiraman

Object recognition is an important task in computer vision that involves identifying the objects such as digital images or videos. This research paper provides a comprehensive review of the different techniques and applications of object recognition. The paper first discusses the basic concepts of object recognition, including feature extraction and matching, classification, and detection. Next, the paper reviews the different techniques for object recognition, such as template matching, PCA-based recognition, and deep learning-based recognition. The paper then presents an overview of the different applications of object recognition, including image and video classification, object tracking, face recognition, and autonomous driving. Finally, the paper ends with a discussion of the difficulties and likely new paths for object recognition.

Survey Paper About Carbon Footprint

Mohammad Nawaz Sheriff , Mota Harshavardhan Reddy , Mohamed Tharik

The aim of this proof of concept is to develop a framework to trace the carbon footprints emitted by fossil fuels during power generation. The framework will utilize a life cycle assessment approach to identify the amount of greenhouse gas emissions associated with each stage of the power generation process, from raw material (fuel) extraction to power delivery. The proof of concept will focus on the use of coal and natural gas, which are the most widely used fossil fuels in power generation. The data collected from sources is used to create model which can help us to estimate the amount of carbon footprint generated from different types of power plants like coal-fired power plants and natural gas-fired power plants. The results of this proof of concept are analyzed to identify areas where we can reduce the greenhouse gas emission  and also to develop and deploy strategies to transition to cleaner sustainable energy sources.Overall, this concept will provide a valuable tool for energy policymakers and stakeholders to make informed decisions about reducing carbon footprints from fossil fuel power generation

R. Ebino Frederic , P. vijay , M. Gurumurthi , V. Hareshanmuhan , V. Sathya

Windows based app locker have always been there in the app market, but only provide minimal security with the traditional security features like PIN, password. Moreover, the locked file / folder would be visible to everyone which only limits the access, which doesn’t completely preserve the privacy of the user. Hence there is a need of a Windows application that preserves the privacy along with the modern-day security features. In this paper, we have proposed a Windows based file locker application that uses face and emotion recognition along with an interactive GIF interface and have discussed its features.
